Have you considered using QR Codes? The Kindergarten classrooms have started using QR Codes in their listening centers to point students to read aloud books online. The QR Codes allow students to use a QR Reader to go directly to a book or website that they are using without having to browse the web or type in a URL. Teachers have set up the QR Codes on notecards with the book title and picture of the book for easy student access.
Teachers use a QR Code Generator to create the QR Codes (there are many QR Code Generators available online). Then students use the QR Reader on the iPad to scan the QR Code bringing them directly to the website. There are many free QR Reader apps available in the app store. Give one a try!
